Delay in China-US trade talks shakes Asia pacific shares: ASX set to open higher

08 Nov 2019 - Following positive leads from US markets, the ASX looks set to open higher this morning. All three US benchmarks were higher at the close. In the Asia Pacific shares were mixed after the reports of a potential delay in the signing of a US-China trade deal. The Decmil Group (ASX:DCG) has been awarded two packages of work for Carmichael Rail Network to its Queensland business unit.

Banks and tech keep market busy: ASX closes 1% higher

07 Nov 2019 - It has been a positive day of trade, with the ASX closing 1% higher. Xero (ASX:XRO) did well today as did James Hardie Industries (ASX:JHX). NAB (ASX:NAB) shares gained even as its dividend was cut and FY19 profits fell. The Flight Centre Travel Group (ASX:FLT) share price is down following the release of its FY20 guidance after reporting its half profit before tax would be down 22% to 36% on the pcp.
