Construction sector jobs dwindled: ASX closed 0.4% higher

06 Dec 2019 - It has been a positive day of trade for the ASX closing 0.4% higher. Bega (ASX:BGA) also dropped today. Shares in Caresales.com (ASX:CAR) shot up today as did Beach Energy. The Scentre Group (ASX:SCG) today announced it has acquired a 50% interest in Garden City Booragoon, Perth for $570 million.

Boral (ASX:BLD) shares down after discovery of financial irregularities: ASX tracking 0.3% higher at noon

06 Dec 2019 - The ASX has risen at the open following positive leads from Wall Street. It is now tracking 0.3% higher at noon. Boral (ASX:BLD) shares slipped today after reporting they had identified financial irregularities in their North American window’s business. Medical Developments International (ASX:MVP) announced today that the Russian Ministry of Health has accepted their Marketing Authorisation Application (MAA) for review for Penthrox.

OPEC consider oil production cuts: ASX poised to open higher

06 Dec 2019 - Following soft leads from US markets, the ASX looks set to open higher this morning. Stocks rose in Asia and Europe as China and the US tried to reach an agreement on their 20-month-long trade war. OPEC to meet again today in Vienna to discuss oil supply policy. Northern Star Resources (ASX:NST) has completed the takeover of Echo Resources (ASX:EAR).
