ARB Corp’s (ASX:ARB) soar on market update: ASX closes 0.3% lower

12 Jan 2021 - The ASX slid today closing 18 points down, or 0.3% lower at 6,679. Shares in the ARB Corporation (ASX:ARB) did well today after they reported they achieved unaudited sales revenue of $284 million for the half year ended 31 December 2020 which represents growth of 21.6 per cent compared with the prior corresponding period.

Tech sector continues to take a hit: ASX tracking 0.4% higher

12 Jan 2021 - The S&P/ASX 200 Index is 25 points up or 0.4% higher at 6,722. Futures are pointing to a rise of 21 points. Shares in Polynovo (ASX:PNV) have dropped over 12% despite reporting an increase in sales of 31% in the first half of the 2021 financial year. The Information technology sector continues to fall.

Wall Street pulls back from recent highs: ASX poised for a flat start

12 Jan 2021 - The ASX looks set to open flat this morning as Wall Street pulled back from their recent highs as vaccine hopes and a large stimulus package lost luster. The World Health Organisation has warned the new, more contagious mutated variants of the coronavirus are “highly problematic”. Over the weekend, the WHO was alerted of a new variant in Japan. Faith-based donation platform Pushpay Holdings (ASX:PPH) has appointed a new CEO.

Mesoblast (ASX:MSB) trial results boost shares : ASX closed 0.9% lower

11 Jan 2021 - The Australian sharemarket slid today closing 61 points down, or 0.9 per cent lower at 6,697. Shares in Resmed (ASX:RMD) did well today. Shares in Westgold Resources (ASX:WGX) dropped along with Perseus Mining (ASX:PRU). Mesoblast (ASX:MSB) reports that their rexlemestrocel-L drug has shown to be effective in a Phase 3 trial.
