All sectors in the green as market soars: ASX 1.8% higher at noon

08 Mar 2021 - The ASX saw a healthy rise at the open and continues to do well towards lunchtime trading with the S&P/ASX 200 index is 121 points up or 1.8% higher at 6,832. On the futures market the SPI is 135 points higher. Vital Metals (ASX:VML) has produced a 12kg sample of rare earth carbonate as part of a bulk sampling program at its Nechalacho project in Canada

Wall Street on a high after stimulus plan: ASX to open higher

08 Mar 2021 - Following positive leads from US markets, the ASX looks set to open higher. The US Senate sat for almost 12 hours to pass President Joe Biden's $2.5 trillion Covid-19 relief plan. The AUD was hit on Friday as the yield reversal continues. The CEO of Oceania Healthcare (ASX:OCA) Earl Gasparich has announced his resignation.

05 Mar 2021 - The ASX slumped in early trade and a late session recovery wasn’t enough to unwind this morning’s losses. The Aussie market closed out the day 0.7 per cent lower. Tech, Health care and Materials down over 2%: Aus market sheds 1.3% at noon

05 Mar 2021 - Despite a slight bump at the open, the ASX has trended lower during the first 2 hours of trade and is down 1.3 per cent at noon. The Tech, Health care and Materials sectors are all down over 2 per cent this morning. Lithium-boron producer Ioneer (ASX:INR) has completed its fully underwritten institutional placement raising $80 million.
