Worley Parsons completes 3sun acquisition
Worley Parsons (ASX:WOR) has completed its acquisition of UK based offshore wind energy installation, inspection and maintenance business 3sun Group for £20 million.
The company says the acquisition of 3sun will provide it with a leading position in the high growth offshore wind energy services sector in the UK and Europe.
Worley CEO Andrew Wood says he believes that the combination of Worley’s international platform and 3sun’s expertise will provide a catalyst for the company to grow a global O&M business in the offshore wind market.
Worley also says the acquisition demonstrates the company’s commitment to the renewables sector in the energy transition.
Shares in Worley Parsons (ASX:WOR) are trading 0.4 per cent higher at $13.75
