All sectors in the green: ASX tracking 1.3% higher at noon

03 Jan 2020 - The ASX shot up at the open after positivity from global share markets. It is now tracking 1.3% higher at noon. Pro Medicus (ASX:PME) rose as did Netwealth Group (ASX:NWL) and Nearmap (ASX:NEA). Declines were seen in Evolution Mining (ASX:EVN), and Ingenia Communities Group (ASX:INA). Tower (ASX:TWR) today announced that Tower Insurance has settled its purchase of Youi NZ.

Dow lifts with Apple a big gainer: ASX poised to open higher

Housing market recovers faster than expected: Aus shares close 0.1% higher

02 Jan 2020 - The ASX 200 opened lower, had a tumultuous start to the day but managed to stabilise over the afternoon after housing market data indicated a faster recovery than expected. Diversified mining explorer and producer, Independence Group (ASX:IGO) is granting all Panoramic (ASX:PAN) shareholders who accepted their hostile takeover offer the right to withdraw their acceptance.

Wattle (ASX:WHA) rights issue falls short: Aus shares flat at noon

02 Jan 2020 - The Australian share market opened lower rebelling against positive leads from the US and is now tracking 0.04% lower at noon. Organic baby formula company, Wattle Health Australia (ASX:WHA) was unable to secure the $55 million funding, required as the minimum offer amount to purchase nutritional dairy manufacturer, Blend and Pack during its recent rights issue.
