17 Dec 2019 - The ASX slid around lunchtime and struggled to gain momentum closing 0.04% lower. Lynas Corporation (ASX:LYC) saw their shares drop today after they were unsuccessful in obtaining Malaysian regulatory approval for an increase in the lanthanide concentrate processing limit for Calendar Year 2019. Catapult Group International (ASX:CAT) ClearSky technology has achieved ‘FIFA Quality’ certification.

Financials the worst performing sector: ASX flat at noon

17 Dec 2019 - The ASX rose at the open then took a slight dip before lunch. The market is now flat at noon. Virgin Money UK (ASX:VUK) shares are falling on the back of the UK general election result where the Conservative party won a parliamentary majority. Warrego Energy (ASX:WGO) has agreed to acquire a minimum 50.1% indirect interest in El Romeral.

Trade deal sees global markets rise: ASX poised to open higher

17 Dec 2019 - Following positive leads from US markets, the ASX looks set to open higher. The partial trade deal between the US and China saw global share markets rise overnight. Tech and healthcare led the way in the US. Keytone Dairy (ASX:KTD) has completed the integration project between the two powder manufacturing facilities.
