Consumer sentiment falls in September: ASX tracking 0.2% higher at noon

11 Sep 2019 - The ASX rose at the open and after an earlier push is now tracking 0.2% higher at noon. Unibail Rodamco Westfield (ASX:URW) is the index's best performer so far, up over 6%. The Materials sector is leading the way and the Infotech sector trailing behind in the first two hours of trade. Red Sky Energy (ASX:ROG) has executed a Farm Out Agreement and will enter into a Joint Operating Agreement with Santos (ASX:STO).

Dow rose on report China likely to buy more US products: ASX set to open slightly higher

11 Sep 2019 - Following mixed leads from US markets, the ASX looks set to open slightly higher this morning. Wall Street managed to erase most losses in the final moments of trading. Treasury yields rose for a fifth day. The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed up, following a report that China is ready to buy more US agricultural products. Silver Lake Resources (ASX:SLR) has extended its off-market takeover bid for Egan Street Resources.
