Wall Street rises after Christmas break: ASX to open lower

27 Dec 2019 - The ASX unfortunately is looking to take a dip after its break although Wall Street saw some movement in the opposite direction rising up in overnight trade. Wall Street is still optimistic over the signing of the US 'phase one' trade deal. Telix Pharmaceuticals (ASX:TLX), has submitted a complete clinical briefing package to the US FDA for its first product TLX591-CDx1.

No Santa rally this Christmas Eve: ASX closes 0.1% higher

24 Dec 2019 - It was a shorter day for the ASX this Christmas Eve with a mostly positive day of trade, the local bourse managed to close 0.1% higher. Gold Road (ASX:GOR) and Silver Lake Resources (ASX:SLR) saw rises today as Vocus (ASX:VOC) and Elders (ASX:ELD) fell lower. Altura Mining (ASX:AJM) has revised its production guidance for the December quarter following changes to maintenance schedules.

Boeing shares rise as CEO is ousted: ASX set to open flat

24 Dec 2019 - Following positive leads from US markets, the ASX looks set to open flat. There was light trading in the US as people enjoy their Christmas break as US stocks edged to fresh highs. The S&P 500 gained for the eighth time in nine sessions, another all-time high after China said it cut tariffs. Shares in Boeing surged after Chief Executive Officer Dennis Muilenburg was ousted. Resolute Mining (ASX:RSG) strengthens US$ gold hedge book.

Bega (ASX:BGA) shares rise on update: ASX closed 0.5% lower

23 Dec 2019 - The ASX fell at the open failing to gain momentum closing 0.5% lower. Bega (ASX:BGA) shares shot up today after the company released an update. Bega Cheese (ASX:BGA) Executive Chairman Barry Irvin has completed his chemotherapy with positive results and plans to head back to work in the new year.

Lottery retailer Jumbo (ASX:JIN) shares continue to fall: ASX 0.3% lower at noon

23 Dec 2019 - The ASX took a dip at the open and has continued to fall throughout the morning now tracking 0.3% lower at noon. Jumbo (ASX:JIN) shares have fallen as have NearMap (ASX:NEA). Cloud software providers Xero (ASX:XRO) shares are on the rise. Telix Pharmaceuticals (ASX:TLX) expects its TLX101 Phase I trial into glioblastoma multiforme brain cancer will complete during the second quarter of 2020.

23 Dec 2019 - The ASX looks set to open lower this morning. There is no local data expected for this week as businesses slow down for the Christmas break. On Friday, Chinese leader Xi Jinping said the “phase one” trade deal is beneficial to both China and the US and the whole world. Restaurant Brands New Zealand (ASX:RBD) has today entered into an asset purchase agreement with a KFC US franchisee for the purchase of 70 stores.

Costa Group Holdings (ASX:CGC) saw their shares rise today following the release of a weather and water report. Jumbo Interactive (ASX:JIN) share price fell. Data management systems company Hansen Technologies (ASX:HSN), says that Sarah Morgan has resigned as a Director.

20 Dec 2019 - The ASX rose at the open but took a dip in mid-morning trade and is now tracking 0.4% lower at noon. Cimic (ASX:CIM) shares are on the up after they reported this morning that their subsidiary CPB Contractors, won 3 contracts worth $150 million from Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO). Jumbo Interactive (ASX:JIN) share price has plummeted after their first half performance wasn’t as strong as expected.
