Housing market recovers faster than expected: Aus shares close 0.1% higher

Wattle (ASX:WHA) rights issue falls short: Aus shares flat at noon

02 Jan 2020 - The Australian share market opened lower rebelling against positive leads from the US and is now tracking 0.04% lower at noon. Organic baby formula company, Wattle Health Australia (ASX:WHA) was unable to secure the $55 million funding, required as the minimum offer amount to purchase nutritional dairy manufacturer, Blend and Pack during its recent rights issue.

Australian dollar lifts on the last day of the year: ASX closes 1.8% lower

31 Dec 2019 - The ASX took a dip at the open and failed to gather any ground closing 1.8% lower. All sectors are in the red - the sector with the least losses was Materials sector with Gold Road Resources (ASX:GOR), Resolute (ASX:RSG) and Saracen Mineral Holdings (ASX:SAR) all making gains today. GrainCorp (ASX:GNC) today announced that the sale of its Australian Bulk Liquid Terminals business to ANZ Terminals Pty has completed.

Final trading day of the year: ASX poised to open lower

31 Dec 2019 - It’s the last day of trading for 2019 and Australian shares are set to open lower. Over in the US stocks fell on light trading. The S&P 500 fell the most in more than three weeks. Wall Street boosts on record e-commerce sales: Aus shares to open lower

30 Dec 2019 - The SPI is pointing to a fall at the open, despite positive leads on Friday from the US. The Dow Jones Industrial Average and the broader S&P 500 edged to fresh record highs on Friday however, the tech-heavy Nasdaq snapped its 11-day winning streak. Drug delivery company SUDA Pharmaceuticals (ASX:SUD) has unsuccessfully appealed the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration’s decision to deny marketing approval for its ArTiMist 6 product.

Silver Lake (ASX:SLR) and Gold Road (ASX:GOR) both see gains: ASX closes 0.4% higher

27 Dec 2019 - It has been a positive day of trade for the ASX back after its two day Christmas break managing to close 0.4% higher. Materials was the best sector today with Silver Lake Resources (ASX:SLR) and Gold Road Resources (ASX:GOR) both seeing gains. Shares in Ausnet (ASX:AST) fell today. Zip Co (ASX:Z1P) says its Share Purchase Plan announced to the market on 29 November and 2 December 2019 closed on 20 December 2019.
