25 Oct 2019 - It has been a positive day of trade for the ASX. After opening in the black the local bourse managed to gain maintain to close 0.7% higher. Cleanaway Waste Management (ASX:CWY) shares dropped over 13% today. Household consumer products company the GWA Group (ASX:GWA) shares also dropped today after reporting drop in sales for the quarter. As for the sectors, Healthcare closed on top with Industrials at the bottom.

24 Oct 2019 - It has been a positive day of trade for the ASX. After opening in the black the local bourse managed to gain maintain momentum to close 0.3% higher. SkyCity (ASX:SKC) has reopened some parts of the SkyCity Auckland precinct after a fire at the NZ Convention Centre in Auckland. Star Entertainment Group (ASX:SGR) shares did well today after proposals to the Queensland Government for big plans on the Gold Coast.

JB Hi-Fi (ASX:JBH) shares leap on strong sales report: ASX tracking 0.5% higher at noon

24 Oct 2019 - The ASX rose at the open and is now tracking 0.5 per cent higher at noon. Shares in Qantas (AXS:QAN) fell after they reported a fall of 0.9% in domestic revenue through the September quarter. JB Hi-Fi (ASX:JBH) shares hit a record high on their quarterly report showing good momentum for sales despite being down on last year.

Wall Street rallied towards the close of trade: ASX poised to open higher

23 Oct 2019 - The ASX looks set to lift at the open. On Wall Street all three major benchmarks had a slight rally towards the end of trade closing higher. Microsoft beat expectations on their earnings and revenue but the stock barely changed. Apple and Boeing shares made gains yesterday. Apple rose 1.1 per cent, it’s felt its new video streaming service will boost revenue. On the commodities front, oil has gained and gold added almost $7.00.

23 Oct 2019 - The ASX drifted lower following soft leads from Wall Street and is now tracking 0.3% lower at noon. Gold Road Resources (ASX:GOR) was a standout today after releasing their quarterly production report. UBS has upgraded its rating for Inghams (ASX:ING) to Neutral from a Sell. And Bubs Australia (ASX:BUB) has appointed Dennis Lin as Executive Chairman of the Bubs Australia Board.

Brexit Bill paused, markets respond: ASX set to open lower

23 Oct 2019 - Following negative leads from US markets, the ASX looks set to open lower this morning. Brexit caused a hiccup on the stock market, as Prime Minister Boris Johnson lost a key vote to fast-track legislation. Tech stocks took a tumble in the US after Facebook and Netflix shares fell. And Redbubble (ASX:RBL) launches program to gain further access to US investors.
